I began my practice in 1986, after seven years of employment with IBM as a business planning analyst. I obtained an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from American University and became an Enrolled Agent (EA) in order to provide a higher level of tax services to my clients. Licensed by the US Treasury Department, Enrolled Agents are authorized to represent clients before the IRS and are required to maintain their expertise through continuing professional education.
As an adjunct to my practice, I hold a Maryland Real Estate Agent License, which enables me to assist clients with the tax implications of buying and selling real estate. I have been an active member of the Frederick County community for thirty years, serving as a scout leader, PTA president and treasurer, and church committee leader. I am a member of The National Association of Enrolled Agents, The National Association of Realtors, and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
